Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
