Previous Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is reportedly "contacting nearly every team principal" as he pursues a comeback to grand prix racing, as stated by the Aston Martin team top executive Andy Cowell.

Aston Martin is included in the squads that are connected to the ex-boss.

The team executive mentioned he had confirmed the circumstances with squad proprietor Lawrence Stroll on Friday at the Singapore GP.

"It appears that Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," said Cowell.

"I can clearly say there are no plans for the participation of Christian in an management or financial position in the future."

Additional Squads Respond

The US-based squad team principal Ayao Komatsu stated that the ex-chief had "reached out to" the US-based team but continued: "Things haven't advanced. The matter is closed."

The Renault-owned team executive director Steve Nielsen stated the team's executive adviser and acting leader Flavio Briatore was "longtime companions" with the ex-boss.

The Alpine director commented: "I don't know what they discuss. What I understand is there are no plans for Christian to come to Alpine but that isn't to say it won't happen."

Williams boss James Vowles confirmed that the ex-chief had not approached them.

"We're quite satisfied with the organization we have and it's working," Vowles said. "I see no justification to change from that."

Horner is able to come back Formula 1 by the middle of next year after finalising a separation agreement with the energy drink company on September 22nd.

The 51-year-old was fired as Red Bull team principal after the British Grand Prix in July.

Several informants at the racing team have revealed the agreement deal was worth €60 million (£52 million).
